He was one hell of a musician singer song writer before his 80's comeback the Devil went down to Georgia and his success after that.

He found a niche audience in the 80's that I think tarnished his earlier contributions to many classic rock tunes.
He worked with Elvis played bass on several Dylan albums, and so much more.
