ANOTHER failed Demmedia prediction.

20% drop in imports is good for America, especially in the context of our current expansion.

:
Our exports to china have dropped about the same percentage.

But since we import much more from them than we export to China, it is a net decrease this last year, in the trade deficit with China.

Not miraculous if you think about it. It's almost as if Trump wants to cause inflation.

If you like slave labor and pollution. Not co2 but real pollution. I can't understand why some people support slavery and pollution in the name of "good prices".

As long as it doesn’t personally impact his clean air, that math teacher doesn’t care if a billion Chinese live with face masks and slave labor. Low prices on junk!

BONK.

The gap between US imports and exports shrank to its lowest level in three years in November following a 15% decline in the country’s annual trade deficit with China.

A boost to US exports also improved the trade balance, fuelling concerns that Donald Trump will expand his campaign to squeeze the US trade deficit, which has so far focused on China, to include the EU and the UK.

The trade gap closed by 8.2% to $43.1bn (£32.9bn) in November, the Commerce Department said, down from $46.9bn in the previous month to register the lowest monthly deficit since October 2016.

US exports rose 0.7% during the month, while imports dropped 1%, helped by a slump in imports from China.

I like the subheader too, tells you all about our Partner's mentality:
Fears grow that Donald Trump will now set his sights on the EU and the UK

My message to the EU/NATO:

Saying Germany sent a thousand troops 20 years ago to Afghanistan for a year or so is no big whoop.

No they haven't and even if they had, it isn't the same comparison.

Total GDP % American exports to China BEFORE the trade war? .65%. That isn't a typo. POINT six-five percent. For China, their exports we absorb its like 15% of their GDP. But when you look at specific industries in China affected from any cut off of that export market, and millions lose their jobs. And that is what causes things like Boxer Rebellions, et al.
