Homeless OVERPOPULATION! California is GOING to HELL!

Homelessness in San Jose

While you hear a lot about homelessness in Los Angeles and San Francisco, homeless encampments in San Jose California, are apparent a mere 5 blocks from where I live. In what is called the heart of Silicone Valley, a turn of phrase that always puzzled me when the giants of the tech industry, Hewlett/Packard, Steve Jobs, and Steve Wozniak, Apple, all came out of Palo Alto.

To understand the problem, I went to Mabury Street and interviewed Rachel Figuero on Sept. 8.

She is an older woman who has been living on the streets “Two and a half years” after her “mother passed away.”

After her husband died “…everything just kind of fell apart,” she said.

I asked her “What has the government done to help get you off the streets?”

AND she told me ABOUT “a survey,” which asked questions like, “were you ever the victim of violence on the street?” Do you feel your life is being threatened? Questions like that.

Figuero believes the answers were used to assign her certain percentage points that result in a score, they use to determine the need and eligibility of the homeless person.

In the California State Budget for 2019/20, “The Budget includes …$1 billion for homelessness.”

1 billion?  What were they doing with all that money?  Buying more of them?

To put that 1 billion number in perspective, California spends $3.5 billion on health care services for prisoners. Perhaps THAT would be preferable.

SEE 13th Street Pictures of homeless encampment, complete w/OVERLORD. One man in fine silk pajama bottoms sat a beauticians desk, and looked menacing. No one would speak to me, except Rachael.

They finally cleared out a large homeless encampment that was on frway 680 going south from Milpitas, in areas in between the large chain link freeway fence and neighborhood sound walls. I imagine the homeowner's weren't exactly tickled to hear homeless crap going on all night with drunken wailing and brawling just over the sound wall.

The areas still have some garbage and a bulldozer in there that leveled the area out. Seeing that encampment there just made me shake my head.

You should see what schools started teaching about lgbt and gender identity in CA. Parents worst nightmare.

Idiots on the left took over.

If the liberal NIMBY hypocrites can willfully ignore the homeless camping out right in their front yard, of course the One Party Soft Dictatorship they keep voting in can easily ignore them in the budget. And when on occasion they can not, they simply blame Trump.

So no surprise there.

My Santa Cruz neighbor went on a trip to the south to learn about the whole de-segregation struggle and etc.

She said that the towns like Selma in Alabama and some in Mississippi were clean and free of bums and their ilk. She was really amazed at the contrast.

Santa Cruz is doomed; the University airhead students can vote locally and so we have super dimwit politicians running things.

Among places in the USA, Santa Cruz is maybe unique that you can qualify for food stamps and not have a physical address.

The insane attitude of the City Council is that we need to provide housing for the homeless.

The average homeless is variously: 1. on drugs 2. a drunk 3. a nut 4. an antisocial petty criminal 5. runaway young person

They can be a combination of various of the above.

California has no pride nor a backbone; it takes some balls to say "NO" to the various people begging for "help".

I'd say that CA has fallen so far into the path of Idiocracy, that you can't base anything on the minimal standards of adulthood that would lead you to either of those conclusions by contrasting against said minimal standards. I mean, would you expect the same thing from a functional adult as you would from children or those with severe Down's Syndrome? No. You have to make allowances for the inherent handicaps both sample groups I mention have, naturally. :)

But people say I think to much (especially Libtards...wonder why?)...so what do I know?

How many Rep/Cons in Red States would be homeless if the failure fucks weren't on Trump/Rep/Con socialist handouts & subsidies?
How many Rep/Cons would lose their homes, credit score, etc. in another 2008 recession?
Those with no debt can't sleep,it's too much stress!

Not sure what you would do, or accomplish by just saying "no" or how that will solve the problem. We often reduce homeless people to a group of people will like to ignore, or pretend don't exist. They are somehow subhuman if they live outdoors.

Very unfortunate people, a growing population and one that will get in your face anyway, as much as you try to ignore them.

Stopping the policies attracting bums from all over the country into small enclaves would be a start.

They will kill you when their life depends on it because they are lacking alternatives. Republicans are constricting the resources as if they could kill off the homeless before the homeless kills off Republicans.

Republicans have a program, and it is a new economy of for-profit prisons. These prisons have taken our unprecedented population of prisoners and created an economic demand for as many as possible to live and work as slaves at gunpoint. This makes economic sense and solves the homeless problem ultimately. This solution is a definite part of the current economic boom. Those jobs are certainly never coming back either. Most of the things homeless people do are in violation of some law even if it is their mere existence.

Our situation as a society is leading to a where there are breath takingly beautiful luxury resorts almost beyond imagination, all heavily guarded and fortified with networked and automated security, separated by razor wire walls and then there will be millions of unemployed and unhoused people living as refugees of violence. Armed military entourage for all visitors.

Empire. None of us knows how many wars our country is engaged in currently, or when they might end. Some estimate 75 wars. Our bases exist in 3/4 of the nations on the planet. Would you hate occupiers of your country deciding on what your country must do to avoid poverty-causing sanctions?

There are some countries like this right now with strong man dictators living gold plated lives not unlike Trump. Citizens know that they keep their mouths shut or they disappear into the night never to be seen again.

Meanwhile you don't think America has fallen because you are so proud of your relatively high pay rate now and mom no longer has to carry you. You may not even notice that management is orchestrating ever more rapid boom and bust cycles where musical chairs happen and you better not get caught as odd man out because while you’re wrestling with those unreasonable schedules HR is attending seminars on how to write requisitions so that only foreigners can qualify for the job.

Absolutely! You can't have open borders and sanctuary cities, along with a socialist system. You will bankcrupt the nation.

I'm surprised you're not for a program where anyone with a 5-year or more sentence is just shot in the head instead. The USA could learn a lot from certain other countries!

I wonder how Switzerland is so low on FREEDOM! list. They vote for everything - seems that people deciding things as opposed to politicians should qualify as a lot of freedom.
