It is not a violation of the law. The US pulled out of the anti-American UN Human Rights Council (what a farce of a title). The United States has every right to defend itself.

I would rather listen to Chomsky because he is a leader in political activism since the 1970's with a huge following and frequent speaking engagements. He has the rare perspective of a long career as professor emeritus from MIT with many publications to his credit both academic and political.

This is how that happens and becomes normalized along with the build up of enforcement and segregation of the wealthy into havens more and more you will see them using private enforcement and mercenary armies in some cases.

Chomsky is a professor of esoteric linguistics. As far as opinions on any other matter, he isn't much better than any soap box screamer. That tends to be true of most 'distinguished' academics. They hand it to themselves because they were good at one thing, therefore, they must be universal geniuses.
