Comcast spends more then $10M per year "suggesting" to Congressmen that they be allowed to continue fucking the public:

How much do the rest of us pay Congress?

And there's the reason.

You have two of the most hated organizations in America working hand in hand.

What are the possible solutions?

Publicly funded campaigns seems like a good idea, so that Congressmen are not dependent on bribes donations.

A ban on lobbying by any former Congressional staffers would also help.

And a list of all Congressmen who have taken money from or met with lobbyists from Comcast.

RIP THE FUCKING COAX OFF THE POLES AND CUT IT UP INTO ARM'S-LENGTH CHUNKS AND USE IT TO STRANGLE THE CONGRESS!

And this is worse then paying close to $1000 now for a phone and voice/data plans for unlimited use that can run close to $100 a month? Sorry - but comcast internet only is a steal. Use hulu or other streaming apps and get rid of cable tv service. The one problem w/ comcast is there often isn't any other choice but to use them for i-net. In my area, I can't get high speed DSL so I am "locked in". That said, while they are annoying, I see many other companies digging deeper into my pocket and providing less value. I guess we could argue that it way over-priced for what they actually deliver, but I get more heartburn from other "bills". :)

comcast's basic TV + basic i-net is almost same as basic i-net price.

5G should change that. Get all internet from your 5G, and use over-the-air broadcast for your TV.

Right, and then we end up with 5G owned by China Telecommunications Corp. and everything's a buck a minute and a buck a meg and average monthly phone bills are $1600

??? I think more like Verizon, Sprint, et al., with no one having a monopoly. Just have to worry about the equipment, which is why we should have the electronics made in the USA.

I agree that buying internet service is still a good deal from the cable companies. In today’s world, that’s really all you need. Netflix offers plenty of content to watch. And a cornucopia of sports and other programs can be reliably streamed from a Hulu subscription.
$100 for all that, and it’s far more than we ever used to get from cable at $150-200/month.

Delivery of wireline broadband should be illegal in a monopoly agreement with a municipality. I live in one such nightmare scenario and the outages are random and non-stop and the support amounts to talking to people in the Swat Valley or the Philippines, 'Yah, OK, sobby! You thing is bust. Do you are plug in modem? Yeah, OK, now you unplug and wait a hour holding modem over head! Yah?'

The executives must laugh themselves silly listening to victimized customers shriek bloody blue murder at jihadi who are randomly instructing their victims to fiddle futilely.

It's not service.

It's hazing.

They might as well charge people to have the pleasure of answering support calls and scream DIE! GET CANCER!, ASSHOLE! for all the good it does.

The network is completely shithouse

What Party is each Congressman elected by?

Certainly no Republican or Democrat would allow detestable & unacceptable behavior.
