Russia intervened in the 2016 election to hurt Clinton and help Trump

I would like to see an investigation into Rusky or Rusky front organizations that invested in the Clinton Foundation. You know, the Ruskies, like other leftists, thought Hillary was going to win.

Supposedly they bought some Facebook ads, but that was after the election.
Also the crooked FBI headed by Comey and McCabe and other crooks decided that they hacked the DNC, despite clear evidence that this was not so, and despite never being given access to the DNC computers. This was as close to a rubber stamp as is possible to get. Only the fact that the media hyped this “conclusion” beyond all reasonable expectations set it firmly in popular “wisdom.” Under any sort of scrutiny, this conclusion collapses.

The only fact is that Russians bough Facebook ads to sell the butthurt Democrats on rioting, resisting, and acting like idiots. That was a pretty effective use of $80k!

Yep, most of Russian Propaganda was spent promoting BLM related issues.

Hardly helping Trump.

Suggest a reading of vol. 1 of the Mueller's (redacted) report or at least the summary if there is a true interest, which I feel quite certain there isn't.

Can you not highlight a few examples in your own words? I've noticed the Collusion Truthers have been saying all week "read the report" without citing a single specific let alone anything new.

I personally believe Russia and Putin wanted to interfere in our election to cause the chaos and division we have seen over the last 3 years dividing our nation. And sadly, the Democrats and the Media are running along hand in hand doing Putin's bidding.

I've said it before, but in what UNIVERSE are we to believe Russians would prefer a guy like Trump and the Republicans in office who campaigned on dramatically increasing our oil production, pressuring Europe to install LNG ports for US natural gas, pulling out of the Iran deal, ignoring the Paris Accords, and increasing our military spending? Trump campaigned on all of this.

Trump is a Russian stooge because he killed 200-600 Russian troops in Syria, while Obama just babbled. He is a Russian agent also because he allowed sales of lethal weapons to Ukraine, who is in war with Russia and it's proxies in Donbass...I think this is enough to convince any unbiased Democrat that t-RUMP is a Russian puppet.

The highest crime is supporting Trump!
The 2nd highest crime is voting/being Яepublican!

Russia puts the Я in Яepublican.

This is what the Mueller report says was the original purpose of Russian Interference. At some point it changed from general discord and became directed at defeating Clinton and to support Trump. But it seems to me they believed Trump would be the chaos, divisive President they wanted, plus Putin hates Clinton. Basically they used two methods Social media and hacking with a systematic, well timed release of hacked emails through Wiki Leaks. The report summary I linked is a pretty short read.

Most of the money was spent after the election, and much of it prior was pushing BLM type issues and even Pokemon giveaways for Pro-BLM Memes.

Putin didn't hate Clinton all that much, long experience working with the Clinton Foundation via Russian SOEs and private companies getting nice things in return for donations.

Everyone (including me) assumed Hillary was going to cruise to election and trounce Trump. So Russia throwing some sand in the gears to make Hillary sweat is not surprising. Obama and his foreign policy team certainly threw sand in the gears trying to defeat Bibi Netyanahu in Israel. This is done all the time.

I still don't see anyone pointing to any specific act the Russians did (let alone Trump collusion) that had a statistically meaningful effect on the election. Russia or Wikileaks didn't leak that Hillary set up a secret server and deleted thousands of subpoenaed emails from Congressional review. Russia didn't leak that Hillary's emails ended up on a convicted pedophile's cell phone (Anthony Wiener). Russia didn't tell Hillary not to campaign in Wisconsin and be generally a god-awful candidate.

Face it, anyone who is still banging the Trump Russia Truther drum is basically doing the bidding of Putin by continuing to try and divide our country on lies.

I say read the report rather than speculate. The truth is no one can ever know the extent of effectiveness (or lack there of) Russian interference. We can know that it did happen. Those that deny it are the "truthers". As I have posted Trump won. period. But Trump is nothing if not divisive, you are either with him or against him, it's all personal, so Russia got what it was looking for.

For me the issue is the future and what happens in 2020. To date the government of Trump has done little to stop future foreign interference in our elections. Why?

I don’t see Pelosi queuing up legislation to ban foreign money from USA elections. Such things need to be done in Congress, not by executive order (which would just be appealed and struck down by a ninth circuit judge anyway(and this would be a good decision for a change)).
Absent any movement from Congress on anything significant, there’s not a lot Trump can do to change the laws in this country. Not that Democrats would agree with him that water is wet or shit is brown.

It is already banned, but it becomes a question of enforcement and that is the executive branch, but your point is well taken, the Dems should put forth directed bi partisan (if possible) legislation to stop foreign interference and I think they will. The Senate will likely kill it.

Isn't it incumbent on those who claim that Russia somehow "hacked" or interfered with the election to specifically point to examples and quantify the actual harm in terms of flipping votes? The Media, Democrats and Hollywood spent the first 3 years of Trump's presidency calling him a Russian spy and traitor............now they are saying "we will never know" and "read the report".

Sure, Trump is a narcissist Alpha dog and often makes things too personal. But until he decided to run as a Republican against Hillary Clinton, Trump's ego and personality was loved and accepted by the Democrat party and Hollywood. So do you think the 99% hostile media has any blame here as well? Clinton and the lapdog media started the "Russia stole the election" claim the day after Trump won. That would piss off anyone who won an election fair and square. It's like being mad at Kavanaugh for getting angry defending himself from baseless claims that he was a serial rapist.

Can you name 1-2 low hanging fruit policies that should be changed that you think had a meaningful impact on the 2016 election by foreign entities?

It'll come as a surprise to people with TDS, but practically every nation that can "interfere" in elections (or the voting process in general) does so. Remember when Obama was trying to influence the Brexit vote. “The UK is going to be in the back of the queue.” Yeah, blatant British vote interference. Personally, as long as a nation is up-front about its influence, I don't see what the problem is.

Yep.

I just saw a clip of Jared Kushner saying something like "Russia spent $160K on Facebook advertisements. We were spending that every 3 hours during the campaign".

Even if you include the $25 million Russia spent through the IRA, that is only about 1% of the total spending by the Clinton and Trump campaigns.
