Chiropractors stole $564 billion from Medicare

This is exactly why we need government controlled, single payer healthcare for all 320 million people in the country (not just the 54 million on Medicare). Just think how great that would work out with such a well run program!

it's the chiros or the doctors, somebodies gonna get paid when you ache.
medicare has determined it is cheaper to pay the chiros in the long run, as long as the patients feel they are getting relief.

I think all insurance companies should pay for alternative medicine like herbal and homeopathy. Not because it works, but because many people believe it works, and a placebo is a lot cheaper.
I personally think alternative medicine is complete nonsense, but then, it's a free country.

The main problem with Medicare is that it's a "Pay and Chase" operation. They Pay the bills first, and if there is reports of fraud and abuse, they Chase the incorrect payments and try and claw them back. The problem is, BILLIONS get paid out with very little oversight, and it's only when a MAJOR fraud is found, do they try and recoup payments.

By the time they figure it out, the "crooks" are long gone with the money.
